Virginia Gena Harris

Today I learned of the death of a friend of mine, Virginia Gena Harris. She passed away yesterday, Saturday, June 30th, 2007.

Gena was also my therapist for the last two years. She had helped me with a great number of things in my life and was always eager to see me each week. Gena had a very calming effect on me and she was one of only two people I trusted enough to talk to about my life in such detail. Our sessions regularly ran a bit over time, but she never seemed to mind, even though it bothered me. I always took it as her just being a kind soul who really wanted to help me. For that and all of those terrible hours you guided me through with patience and understanding, thank you. I never got to tell you how much you helped me.

I will never forget you, Gena.
